MSC Scouts Against Hunger
The Scouts Against Hunger Program was launched in November of 2012. The program was designed as a food collection and donation program to benefit the Saint Martin De Porres Homeless Shelter in Lewiston, ME. From the program’s conception, until the onset of the Covid Pandemic, the program consisted of an annual food drive along with a purchase and donation program.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the program received a facelift in 2020. The program has now become a purchase / donation program. On the first of the month, the homeless shelter submits a wish list to our organization, we then do the shopping, and deliver the food and supplies to the them. The Memorial Scout Camp remains committed to supplying food to feed the homeless population of our community. Currently, we partner with Kaydenz Kitchen and provide monthly food donations to their organization.
