MSC CAMPING ESSENTIALS PROGRAM
In support of the Worldwide Scouting Movement, the Memorial Scout Camp has created the MSC Camping Essentials Program. This program makes essential camping equipment available to any scout upon the recommendation of his / her scout group leader, based on financial need.

Awarded Scouts Should Receive Their Gear in the Next 2 - 4 Weeks
Recommendation Requirements
- Recommendations MAY NOT be submitted by family members.
- If the scout group leader is related to the scout, the recommendation should be submitted by an assistant leader or a person who has served the scout in a leadership capacity outside of the scouting program.
- Scouts should be recommended based on financial need.
- Scouts may only be recommended to receive one piece of equipment per calendar year.
- Scouts must have an address that is eligible to receive a delivery from Amazon.
Under No Circumstances Should A Scout Be Recommended By Their Parent!
The Selection Committee Will…
- Review all applications in September
- Select recipients for requested equipment based on financial need
- Send a congratulatory letter to all recipients
- Contact the scout leader of the selected candidates to make arrangements for equipment delivery
- Order the equipment and have it delivered to the scout
