Patch Trading
Scouts have been collecting and trading patches since the early days of the program. Over the years, patch trading has become especially popular at regional and national events, such as OA conclaves, National Order of the Arrow Conferences, and National Jamborees.
Wayne Marley was especially fond of patch collecting and trading. At any scouting activity that he attended, Wayne could usually be found trading patches and pins with scouts and scouters that he met. He was always willing to make a new friend by finalizing a trade with scout handshake.
In memory of Wayne's passion for collecting and trading patches, Troop 160 Memorial Scout Camp has added a patch trading box in Adam's Cabin. We encourage any scouts, who collect patches, to bring their patches to camp. While at camp, feel free to thumb though the patches that have been placed in Wayne's Patch Trading Box. "One For One" trades are always welcomed...You take a patch = You leave a patch.
