Over the last 14 years, the Memorial Scout Camp has grown from a dream of a free-to-use Scout camp in Maine, to an independent non-profit Scouting organization which supports Scouts and families in Maine and across the country. Each year, we make repairs and needed improvements at the Memorial Scout Camp at Spectacle Pond, we issue 6 camperships to support worthy Scouts going to summer camp across the United States, we award around 30 pieces of camping gear to Scouts in need across the country, and we make monthly contributions to support the unhoused and needy in the Lewiston-Auburn area. Over the past few years, the cost to maintain these programs at their current levels has steadily increased. At the same time, the need we are seeking to meet has not reduced, and in many cases, has actually increased.

This year, we are asking for your financial support to ensure that we can continue making a difference in the lives of Scouts and families in Maine and across the country. If we can raise $2,000, then we can continue to operate at our existing level of impact. Raising more funds will allow us to go into 2025 on stronger financial footing and allow us to strengthen our impact in each of our major programs – The Memorial Scout Camp at Spectacle Pond, the MSC Campership Program, the MSC Camping Essentials Program, and Scouts Against Hunger.

If you would like to donate via check, you may make a check out to Troop 160 Memorial Scout Camp and mail to:
